কয়েকটি Adjective-এর ভিন্ন ভিন্ন প্রয়োগ :

Few -এর অর্থ খুব কম বোঝায়। এটি না বোধক ধারণা দেয়। এটি Countable Noun -এর পূর্বে বসে সংখ্যা বোঝায়। যেমন_ I have few friends. He has a few pens. A Few: এর অর্থ সামান্য (অল্প কিছু) বোঝায়। এটি Countable Noun -এর পূর্বে বসে। যেমন_ I have a few books. Little, a little, the little : Little : এটি পরিমাণ নির্দেশক Negative অর্থ প্রকাশ করে। 'কিছুই নেই' অর্থে এটি ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন_ There is little water is the jug. He took little tea last night. A little : এটি পরিমাণ নির্দেশক তবে সামান্য পরিমাণ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন_ We have a little flour. Rahman had a little land. The little : এটি সামান্য পরিমাণ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। তবে সামান্য পরিমাণের সবটুকুকে বোঝাতেইThe little sentence ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন_ He left his home with the little money he had. Another, any other : Another : এটি Singular Noun এর পূর্বে বসে। যেমন_ Another copy was needed. Another patient came here yesterday. Any other :এটি Singular ও Plural উভয় রকম Noun কে বুঝাতে ব্যবহূত হয় । যেমন_ Rina is more beautiful than any other girl in the class. He is more wise than any other man in the village. Many : এটি Plural countable noun এর পূর্বে বসে। এটি সংখ্যা নির্দেশক। Example: Many boys were present there. Many books were bought. Much : এটি Material singular noun-কে বোঝায় এবং পরিমাণ নির্দেশ করে। Example: Helen drank much water. Many a : এটি Singular countable noun--এর পূর্বে বসে। যেমন_ Many a person went there. A great many : এটি Plural countable noun এর পূর্বে বসে। Example: A great many students were present. A great many people joined the program.
